Consider Resource Productivity[]

(Note the title for this card in the Mar 2015 deck is "Measure Resource Productivity")

If media mentions increasing productivity, it’s talking about labor productivity (using fewer people—and often more natural resources—to make more money). Focusing on resource productivity saves natural resources and can put people back to work. We tend to be most productive with things that cost the most—if resources cost more we’d look more closely.

Instead of: Focusing myopically on increasing labor productivity so that we think we’re doing better if we employ fewer people and use up more natural resources to produce the same stuff.
